Family update

Well the results are in and Kaylee didn't win the election for student council president but she did get chosen to represent her class on the student council. She came home a little sad but she was a great sport about it. I'm so proud of her for at least trying. I know that when I was her age there was no way I would even try anything like running for President.
Tod started his new job this week with Pro Clean and a week it has been. The guy that covers Lake Havasu and Bullhead City was on vacation so Tod and his boss spent three different days there. There was one night when he didn't get home until after 10 and another where he got home at almost midnight. By Thursday night he was beat! I think he likes it for the most part and enjoys what he is doing. He especially likes using his Spanish to speak to the Hispanic dishwashers. From what we understand those kind of hours are very unusual. I keep telling him that they are just trying to break him in by fire.
Yesterday Tod and Eric headed out for Eric's first scout camping trip. They also did a five mile hike this morning. Eric could hardly wait to go. He was all packed an hour after he got home from school (11:30am) and they didn't leave until about 6:30 last night. He was just a little excited. I am so thankful that Eric is excited about the scouting program. What a great experience this will be for him.
Nate is growing by leaps and bounds. It seems like over night he is speaking in complete sentences. He got so excited when my dad called. Nate thought it was Tod and kept saying "me talk" so when I gave him the phone he looked a little confused. Once he figured out it was Grandpa Hardy he was soo excited. He talked for a minute and then had to go tell all the daycare kids that it was Grandpa on the phone. He also loves saying Family prayers. He still needs help and sometimes it's all we can do to get him to say it loud. He likes to whisper when he prays. It's so cute.
Cami is loving 1st grade and especially her teacher. She is reading better everyday. Chase is also doing great in school. He got to go fishing with his scout leader recently and loved every minute of it. They didn't catch anything but they had a lot of fun trying. He will be receiving wolf ranking in the next couple of months.
I am staying busy with YW's. I am really enjoying the change from primary to Young Womens. Last Saturday Tod and I went and rode the sky ride with the Young Women. That was a lot of fun. The air was a little thin but it was beautiful. Our Young Women's president shared a great message with the girls. I know each one of them felt the spirit and the love that she has for them. I will share more picures soon.
