So the picture says it all! It was a hot Saturday afternoon. The kids had just finished helping Dad snap green beans and they were hot. They wanted to play in the water but we have so many goat heads in our back yard that the kids didn't dare run through the sprinklers. Tod pulled out the canoe and filled it up like a pool. I thought it was pretty creative myself. Anyway the kids had a blast playing in the water and everyone finally got cooled off.

Back to school Pictures

Here are the back to school pictures that I promised. Kaylee is enjoying her teacher and so we have pretty much decided to keep her in that class. Eric is loving middle school and is having a lot of fun learning to play the trumpet. He knows two songs now and is working hard on a third song. We attended the middle school open house last night and all his teachers had good things to say about him. Chase and Cami are also doing well in their classes.

July Happenings and Starting School

Ok, I know you're thinking if I have a blog I should actually update it once in a while. So here it goes. July just flew by. It seems like the years go faster as the kids get older. Between scouts and achievement days, daycare kids, a family reunion and getting kids ready to go back to school it has been a little crazy the last couple of weeks. Our computer has been doing crazy things lately and after replacing the keyboard and the motherboard and erasing the harddrive and downloading everything again dell finally decided it was ok to replace our computer. Thank goodness for an extended warenty. HALALULA!!!!! So once I get our new computer I will include some pictures.

We celebrated July 4th with our friends the McGuires. We had hamburgers and hot dogs and then the kids played until it was time for the fireworks. Nate hated the loud booms but as long as he was in the car with dad he was ok. The rest of the kids thought they were great! The weekend of the 24th we headed to Heber, AZ for the Call family reunion. It was a beautiful weekend. We didn't get rained out this year. YEAH! The kids had a ball playing with all their cousins and Nate was Tod's little shaddow the whole weekend. I don't know if he was nervous about all the people or what his deal was.

Last week we attended middle school orientation. Yes I did say middle school. I am having a hard time believing Eric is old enough to attend middle school. I would have to say I was a lot more nervous about the whole prospect than Eric was. He is very excited about being able to learn to play the trumpet this year as well as being able to see his friends everyday especially some of his friends from Territorial Elementary that he hasn't seen for a couple of years. We also attended meet the teacher for Cami, Chase & Kaylee. We had a little drama this year when we found out who Kaylee's teacher was. It didn't help that two of her friends were telling her how awful this teacher was the day before. I was concerned that thier personalities would clash. After talking to the principal and meeting her teacher Kaylee decided that she is going to stick it out for a couple of weeks and see how it goes.

Monday school started. I think I was more excited than the kids. I am excited to have our kids back on a schedual. Everyone came home with good things to say. Eric was excited that he was able to find all his classes. Kaylee did great and said her teacher wasn't bad at all. Cami already loves her teacher and Chase is Chase. Laid back for the most part although I have noticed that he comes home a little more tired. He is going an hour longer this year.
This month also brought a change in my calling at church. After 8 years I have graduated from the Primary program to Young Womens. They made me the YW secretary. It is a whole new adventure seeing as how I haven't been in YW's since I was a young woman. Tod is still the Elders Quoram President. As for the job front it has been 9 months since our employement ended with Shea Homes. Tod has kept busy with side jobs. We have been blessed greatly. It seeems like just when we think we aren't going to have enough money to pay the bills Tod gets another call to work. It amazes me everytime. It also makes me more and more grateful for a Heavenly Father who hears and answers prayers.

Well that about does it for us. I'll post pictures soon.
